Chicago Cubs Game At Wrigley Field

Wrigley Field is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. It is the second oldest ballpark in the major leagues. If you are accustomed to more modern ballparks, watching a game at Wrigley Field will bring u back to the early 20th century and give you a feel for what games back then were like. It is a great experience. Fans at Wrigley Field and Chicago Cubs fans in general are fans through and through. Regardless of how their club is doing, they are always supporting their team. You will find many season ticket holders and for the most part if you sit next to them they will be happy to tell u about team, the ballpark, the history, and things to do in the city. Across the street from the ballpark, behind the left field wall, is a row of homes that offer seats on their roofs to watch the games. The newer of the two ballparks in Chicago, US Cellular Field, is home to the Chicago White Sox. If you live in Chicago, much as if you live in New York, you are a fan of one of the teams and generally not both. North vs South. Chicago is famous for its deep dish pizza. You will find numerous places around town that sell some excellent pizza with many different topping options. This is a must win visiting Chicago.

The Chicago River runs right through the city. Along the banks of the river are many restaurants, cafes and seating areas. You will also have access to river tours and water taxis from the Riverwalk.

Lincoln Park runs along Lake Michigan in the north side of Chicago. This 1200 acre park was created in 1843. This park offers golfing, sports fields, a beach, the famous Lincoln Park Zoo, and Lincoln Park Conservatory. It is a place where every member of the family can find something fun to do. Millennium Park was built in 2004. It features some modern sculptures an outdoor theater, fountains, bicycle rentals and is a great place you have a picnic enjoy some people watching. It is a great place to relax. The park is the location of concerts and festivals throughout the year. This is the tallest building west of New York City and a second tallest in the United States and the eighth tallest in the world. It was completed in 1973. The tower offers an observation deck that has recently refurbished and a glass balcony has been added. You can walk onto the balcony and look straight down at the City of Chicago below.
