When you visit London, your list usually includes the Houses of Parliament, the Tower of London, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and numerous other Historic Places. But in 1999, London opened a new landmark, the London Eye.
The London Eye stands over 400 feet tall, and at the time of the completion, was the largest Ferris wheel in the world.
It sits on the banks of the River Thames.
It has 32 capsules which have the capacity for 25 people each. The ride lasts about 30 minutes.
It’s cabins can be ridden with other tourists, your own private group or just a romantic ride with a waiter and champagne and refreshments.
During your ride you will be able to enjoy an incredible 360 degree view of London.
One of my favorite views from the London Eye is that of Big Ben and Parliament.
Ticket lines can be quite long during busy hours, but you can make your reservations online.
Twilight and sundown hours are great time to enjoy the ride. You will get an incredible view of the city and be able to take some amazing pictures.
So plan your trip and enjoy your ride on the London Eye!
Safe Travels!
